Might not have anything else going fer me, but I've got staying power. :>)

Starting fixing the hydraulic leak at about 8am; had 'er up, drug out of the hole and running again by 3pm.

Had to make and run and complete new line the full length of the tractor and the worst part was diggin' the old line out of 30-year's-worth of muck and oil-soaked mud.

Good news (if ya can call it that) was that most of the oil had already drained itself out and I didn't have to take the oil bath I was expecting.

Used the pickup to pull it up on the level and dropped another 20 acres before I quit.

You should have to pay someone for the privilege of working in the shade out in a field of alfalfa. I bet there was even a nice cool breeze and a nice lady bringing you iced tea. I had to replace a steel line under a tractor once out in a field that I was discing. At least it didn't rain.

And here I was think'n I was the only one who worked all night. Least this night gig of mine pays rain or shine. I will tell you I would rather spend a bad day in the hay field than relive this night. If any body ask I would take a bath in hydrolic fluid anytime over a bath in 13% bleach. Them bleach leaks ain't fun, don't take long with out it to get into bad paper work.

If'n you started mowing at 3pm, how's come you just knocked down 20 acres? By my watch you had some 7 plus hours of daylight there. Or is that swather really that slow?
Make hay while the sun shines?

Or maybe he quit mowing once he had 20 acres on the ground?

Upon READING his post again, it DOES say he QUIT mowing. No mention of daylight running out or a slow swather...

Why do today what ya can put off until tomorrow? :>)

Naw, I've got 50 acres on the ground now; time to start thinking about picking some of it back up.

Got a half inch of rain last night or else I'd be out there right now. :>)

on the fresh cut hay? Had 1/4 inch Sunday nite and .35 last night about midnight. Been trying to get some sorghum and millet planted. Stays too wet. Planted some back on the 25th of May then we've had 7+ inches of rain since and cool. Stuff just isn't growing. Good to see your repair job went better than you first thought. Later Dan

God Allen. Looks like the rear view mirror in the truck is out of adjustment. And the right front tire might need to be aired up from 40 psi to 60. And are those bugs in the radiator?
