Lanse Welding

Lanse: I just watched some of your video on welding.
A couple of comments: try to get your work up on a table or horses, so your in a more comfortable position, clean up that shop a little, you'll be better organized without tangles and tripping , I 'am not the best welder but have improved with some of these suggestion's. But most importantly I noticed it was dark out in the video,
an old timer told me, never any welding within 2 hours of going home or in your case, in the house to bed. Smoldering fire danger

Real good advice.

I don't weld, but our riding mower is stored in the barn, I cover it with a tarp to keep any hay/debris from falling down the engine hood cooling vents.

After mowing, I leave it out until the engine is cool, push it into its spot, then cover it.

I never cover it while its hot.

Real life welding reapirs will mean welding in any position upside down under tanks, crawling around etc etc he might as well get used to it.Anyone can weld in an ideal setting but rarely does it happen on a welding job

Another welding/cutting rule I use.. is to wear earplugs anytime that arc/flame is near or over my head.. Prevents a ball of slag from rolling down the ear canal, and burning through the eardrum..

Thanks Everyone!!!

They just kinda showed up....

But otherwise i would have moved stuff off the table....

Thanks again!!
