i have a case 800 and i was just wondering how many were made and if this is considered a rare case tractor because from wat i understande they were only made for 2 years....any info would be helpful

Actually 3 years - 1957 thru 1959 according to my Nebraska lab book. I would not say they are rare, you"ll see them in Photo Ads section here on occasion. But there were certainly fewer of them made compared to the 30 series that ran for for roughly 10 years.

I have a 700 - same tractor but with a standard transmission. The 700 seems to be less common than the 800, but I don"t have the numbers handy to prove it.

The 900 series was also made from 1957 thru 1959. I think the 57s were just 900 and the 58 and 59 were called 900B.

Pa bought a 700 brand new in 58. Put 10,000 hours on before he had to put sleeves and pistons in. Then ran it another 4000 hours till he died. Only problem he ever had was the hydraulic pump failed twice in that time. 800 was just as reliable from what i've heard. You got yourself a good tractor but it really is not very rare. Lots of them still in use.
