Gas tank sealer

The gas tank on my old Deere leaks a little. Any one know of some kind of sealer that I could use? Where do I get it? How does one apply it?

I have had the best luck having a local radiator shop do it. Cleaning the tank good is critical to the process. It's not expensive--around $100 at our local shop. I have had six or seven of them done with excellent results.
Good luck,
Paul

I use a product called Red Coat. Most auto parts stores can get or have tank sealers. They do work. I sealed an IH tank once that had several hundred pin holes. No leaks, and it was on a backhoe.

devcon plastic steel putty if your just going to fix a hole,, kreem kit for relining the tank,it will seal small holes , but i tend to devcon the holes first.

Seal-All for a good tempory fix. Used it on a few old pickups and it held for longer than I expected, a few years. A couple a bucks a tube at most hardware and auto-supply stores.
