Predicting rain, I hope they are right.

As has been mentioned before we here in Wisconsins Northwest are suffering from a severe drought, weather guesser is predicting storms tomorrow, thursday and friday. I sure hope we get some of the rain everyone else seems to be getting. The situation here is getting desperate. Oh well no use whining about it, just hoping.

Did you get any rain yesterday? We got a nice soaker and it looked prevalent to the north-west of Manitowoc. You are right though, it's getting pretty dry already.

Good growing,
Bill

Boy, you can have some of the northeast's as far as I'm concerned. It's been raining for over a week now, and we've already had a week soaker to weeks ago.

Funny how extremes work. You cant wait for it and I can't wait to get rid of it.

we got 1.5 inches a little over a week ago,I'm just south of clayton, last year my hay fields were as tall as the rear tractor tires, this year it's barely as tall as the front tires, hope we get the rain.

They are predicting rain more days this week than any time so far, so I poured the fertilizer to the corn feilds where I didnt put chicken manure, and added a "bump" of 70# nitrogen the the manure feilds. I sure hope it rains, really do not want to cultivate it in, will lose any moisture I do have plus I am pretty much weed free anyway. GMax lite worked good for me.

Here in SE MN near the IA border it was very dry this spring. Hay and pastures were very slow to green up. Things were not looking good. Then we got a couple inchs of rain over 2 weeks that started things. We have been getting a half inch a week or so but the hay and pastures still don't look like they should. Steams are still very low. Now I have been trying to hay and guess what? Of course its humid with rain forcasted the next seven days. Got 55 acres baled with 120 left to cut. Looks like one of those years that I'am still on first crop on the 4th of July. Yields on the 55 acres have been disappointing, 70 5X6 bales less than last years first crop on the same fields. Oh well I'd rather have moisture and grass for the cows any day over drought. Sure hope some of this forcasted rain makes it up north for you guys!
