I've been watching for a while but now i'm making my first post.
Can anyone tell me their opinion of the forum thus far.

Tremendous amount of knowledge on just about anything and everything. Lots of humor, too.

Like a very large family. Good, bad, some fights, but when one needs help, we close ranks and rally.

It's often been described as being inhabited by wannabe farmers, yuppies and small-time gardeners.
 
At least 1 real farmer (a person who derives a vast majority of their income through production agriculture) is on here. Saw him in the mirror this morning. (he needs a shave and a hair cut)
 
I trust you will enjoy the posted topics. I must say it can be discouraging at times when poeple post their filth and disgusting topics. Other than that enjoy... welcome aboard !!!
 
There's several of that kind, but as a percentage of the total........not many. Until I retired, I was one; except for time in the military, never did anything else; diversified row-crop and cattle. When I 'came' here about 10 years or so ago, it was a much smaller place and it seemed to be mostly farmers, pullers and restorers. Lots of the ones from those days have moved on.

Not a bad place to hangout if you like tractors Trucks and Farming. Most are just guys who like Old tractors but a few actually farm their land. But mostly its a nice place to ask questions and get answers to them some good, some not so good but all with good intentions.
you will soon learn what to read and what to pass by as just junk or not an interest to yourself.
Like the Union Post on the surface its a poor thing for a tractor list but as you can see it does draw a lot of attention and different views from a lot of members.
Stick around for awhile ask some silly question let us know what you do and what your interest are.

PS don't pay attention to those who want to run us all down for what we believe in. We all have our own ways and our own beliefs even if they are different.
