OT: Too Much Rainfall

A farmer in Ohio sent me these pictures this morning of his strawberry crop. He usually has
an outstanding crop even in dry weather since he can irrigate them. He's hoping he can pick on Friday if the water soaks in. Hal

Berries look great. Wish I had some.

We had 4 rounds of Tstorms in Dallas beginning last night at 8:00, r2 around midnite, r3 sometime after that, r4 around 7:30.

Power went off at the house sometime during r1 and is still off.

saw the rain come down on tv last night when they had the blue jay / texas ranger game on ( rained out )
have never seen that much water come out of the sky oh"well had to watch the yankees get spanked instead .

we are in our 3rd year of too much rain. I would rather have too much though than too little. Trouble is the spring is wet, then it shuts off. Had 2.1" last night. .6" Tuesday afternoon. Creek was out last night.

Gotta be that global warming! Strange I should need a jacket in Mid June?

I went to Defiance, Ohio to a tractor pull last Saturday (I live in southern Michigan) and the crops in the area between Bryan and Defiance look sad, maybe horrible is a better defination...obviously some more to be planted yet and what's in and up looks just pitiful. I've never seen such poor crops in Ohio, I really feel very sorry for those poor farmers. I guess the guys with the crops in cann pull from their insurance...if they got it. Crops aren't great here but a lot better than what the poor Ohio guys got.

They've received more rain in Baltimore and south of there than I have. In 1999 it didn't rain all summer until September when a storm called Irene dumped about 8 inches of rain. Hal
