if you counted all the tires you have how many

Is this a "My dad can whup your dad thread?" I'm not opposed to the idea, just asking...........when I quit farming a few years back, at least 250...... maybe more.

well, when they all need air in them it seems like a thousand ,I'm not real sure but I think around a 150 give or take,in other words to many!

My latest survey reveals 53 pneumatic tires and 39 internal combustion cylinders, all crying for maintenance. I don't know how I sleep nights.

I have over two dozen pieces of equipment, and only 4 or 5 tires. The other 60 or so don"t count as tires, since they"re all flat.

Somewhere around 125-130+. Not too many are flat right now that I know of...

An even 48, all on machines that run. You believe that right? Actually, 8 of them would be on a couple of machines that don't run and 6 on trailers.

Pistons? 37, I believe.

139. (you missed a few my dear)

13 tractors & 1 spare = 53
2 bumper pull trailers w/spares = 10
2 g/n trailers with spares = 10
1 g/n trailer with spare = 7
a couple of old tractor tires at the Reagan house = 3
4 vehicles with spares = 20
1 dually with spare = 7
2 riding mowers = 8
tedder = 4
2 balers = 4
sprayer = 2
JD delivery trailer = 4
5 JD #5 mowers = 5
JD hay rake = 1
wheel barrow = 1

unknown number of semi-good used tires at the Reagan house.

Two that I know of fer sure. :>)

My son and I farm together. OMG, I just made a list of what we are running on pneumatic tires, not including what is in the tree line or spares ready for use in the shop, we have tipped the scales at over 300. He recently bought a big used tire changer machine (10 yr old Snap-On). Looks like it will be put to use! I would have not guessed anywhere near that number of tires running!

I never counted tires until now, I always counted how many engines I had to keep running.

I have only 44 tires

But I have 13 gas engines. This includes tillers, mowers and weed eater, chainsaw.

I just play in the dirt don't really farm for a living. Just a lot of toys!!

Not counting spares, 217. And only two are flat at the present time. The odd one is a depth wheel on a 4 bottom mounted plow.

I lost count somewhere around a hundred, not counting a couple-three spares I recently accumulated to CYA from a flat on a haywagon on a Sunday afternoon when rain"s coming. Hace been working to upgrade tires on impliments so failure less likely. And we"re a small farm. Raise hay, oats to feed sheep, llamas, goats. Don"t even have a combine - shock oats and take them to local steam show for thrashing. Some of the big farmers around here must have their own tire shop! Scary, Ain"t it.

Sonofagun! We really don't have that much stuff. But my son and I just tallied up 63! I never would have thought it. We'll be adding anywhere from 2 to 10 tires in the next six months or so.

Good to see it when a woman breaks out the mental rolodex and keeps her man honest!

I thought I was the only one!

Now I know why the tire shop sends a xmas card. Just counted 192 plus whatever I forgot. Guess that's a good reason to sell some of these old tractors.

Lets see I added up the other day, if I didnt miss any 86 pneumatic, 11 solid, 62 cylinders, and 16 batteries. After reading some of these, I dont feel too bad.

187, not counting semi-pneumatic... and I probably missed a few also. And since some are counting cylinders... 68 of them here (30 for the cars and truck)

Well to give an answer to that on a wet day about 13 1/2 board feet a day. [My Grand dad told me]

Tire question = 32 oops! I forgot 2 on the generator

cylinders = 28 + chainsaw and two weedeters

Battery's = 7 All on an acre of ground.

Dad talks about how Grandpa used to do this, and that was from the days when he could do it on two hands.

I will take a stab at it but sure I will miss some on the big jt ranch.

278 tires I think
29 batteries +or-
and 99 pistons

Not sure that is a exact inventory but it is close and a little scary to.

I did include wagons that are used for snow fence and the toys so that might skew my numbers a bit.

On vehicles or piled up in the woods?

I have:

15 on Car/Van/Truck (including spare)
4 on trailer
3 on camper (spare)
4 on Ferguson TE-20
4 on Ferguson TEA-20
4 on Ferguson TO-20
4 on Ferguson TO-35
4 on MF-65
42 total

and we haulled out about 70 from the woods (dumped there some time in the past) on recycle day last year.
