Nancy was busy watering the new grass last weekend.

Filled the tank on the sprayer and installed a garden hose and sprayer to water the new grass seed.

We thought for a while that most of it was a "wash out" due to all the heavy rains earlier in May.

The rest of the hay meadow looks good.

Looks like we will be begin harvesting this part of the hay meadow on the weekend of the 13th.

I have about 50 acres of hay ground that is really in need of watering if you are not to busy I would sure appreciate it,thanks in advance.oh did I mention I live in NW Wisconsin

From what I've been reading on the forum, it's way too cold for me in NW Wisconsin right now.

Water in the spray tank would probably freeze to boot!

We are fortunate that the little creek wasn't any worse.

Hauled in 27 loads of top soil to fill in a terrace that had deteriated over the past 50 years.

We got a lot of rain shortly afterwards for several consecutive days.

The new top soil was just not ready for that much rain.

We'll let the new grass get better established and fill in the little creeks with a shovel later.

Thanks for the compliment.

That is our 39B <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItCycmMBAV0">"Uncle Earl"</a> that will pull the JD 640 hay rake this year.

That might be topsoil in Texas, but in SD that would be "brown dirt". Topsoil looks like ashphalt when you lay it down.
