I was searching the internet GFC Bale Bandits just for some opinions on them since we are looking at the possibilty of one at work and I came across this piece of equipment. I think it may be better than the Bandit. I think they may only be available in Canada for now though because a guy on another forum said they were locked in a lawsuit with GFC for now but i didnt find any info on that.
Bale Baron

No,neighbor here in Md. has one ,likes it better than the bale bandit as it uses twine to bundle, instead of steel strapping.

Has he had any problems with it that you know of? I know when the bale bandits first came out they were a nightmare. Also is there a dealer here in the US or did he get it from Canada? Just curious about it.

Have the New Holland Bale wagons gone out????
My brother and I had a custom haying operation some years ago and we had the New Holland Bale wagon.
Haven't really looked but haven't seen a bale wagon for quite a while.

I know of guys that still use them for the straw baling. We have talked about them but we have a lot of fields fairly far away and a lot more traffic on the roads due to housing developments and the eaves in the barns are to short to pull in and stack anyway so that idea kind of went to the wayside for us. Also we like the idea of handling small squares the same as big square bales.

Haven't talked to him yet about whether he likes it or not.He did bale 25 acres or rye straw at our place and the only problems I saw was the baler was having problems because the rye had gotten so tall because of all the rain we've had. They ended up having to bushhog the already cut rye to help bale it.The Baron seemed to work fine.

At $68000 a copy you will need some serious growth on 5 acres. I am looking at it for perennial peanut hay because my customers like to buy bales for their horses. Really near a one man operation.
