Clutch on Allis WD

The clutch on my AC/WD does not release when I shove in on the pedal. So....I put it in gear, release the hand clutch, then start the tractor and away we go using the hand clutch.

Now, tell me how the clutch works. Seems when the throw out bearing is pushed forward it should release.But it seems to me it would push it tighter. Just haven"t had one apart..

The fiber disc sticks to the flywheel or pressure plate, when it is not in use most have a clutch lock that holds the pedal down to keep it from sticking. Some times a quick jerk of the hand clutch in high gear with the pedal down will free it up. Just do it in a safe place!
