Farmall 400 trans/rear oil level check?

An old friend stopped by and asked me how and where to check the trans/rear oil levels on a 400 he bought. He said there are 2 plugs on the housing and the manual he has really doesn't say how/where to check the levels. I don't know very much about a 400 so I don't want to give him any bad info.

Look on the bottom of the transmission, there is a plug towards the rear, and one towards the front, the one by the front is small, and the rear one is large. Drain the rea plug first, then the smaller one.

And the check plug is on the right-side, towards the front.
