Was leave'n the local co-op today with a buggy of fertilizer. While I was check'n the density one of the young part time boys left out with the water truck. I left and got a mile down the road and he had run off the road, flipped and slid a good ways on his top. I hung around and tried to help best I could till more help got there. Was not much I could do a vol. fire fighter was there before me and was talk'n to him and try'n to keep the boy calm, I mostly gave directions to folks till they got road blocks set up. After I left talked to a neighbor who live right beside where it happened and they life flighted the boy out. He seems like a good kid and looks like he is messed up alot worse than I thought. If yall would please say a kind word for him and I will post back when I hear how he's do'n. Every one please be carefull out there on the road and in the field.

Prayers for the boy and his family, emergency responders and helpful bystanders. Sounds like it's going to be a rough night for all of the above.

God speed,
Bill

A reminder to be careful hauling liquids; a little jinking, to miss a pothole or making a phone call, that wouldn't bother an ordinary load, will slop the liquid and take you right on over.

Prayers sent. Liquid can be nasty to haul, especially if tank only part full. I came way to close to getting killed myself with a 2500 gallon tank half full of fertilizer in a cab over Chevy grain truck. Little old lady pulled out in front of the truck, I stood on the air brakes and was able to miss her. Broke the tie downs for the tank, it came thru the front of the box and thankfully stopped when it hit the back of the cab.

That wasn't exactly the grain elevator I worked for best day. Later that day one of the Big A operators rolled it trying to save a few seconds crossing a grader ditch instead of driving back a 1/4 mile to the driveway. DOUG
