Got off night shift this morning and made my loop to check/feed everyone and had an extra. Wasn't supposed to be here til next week but he's healthy and sound and mom is fine.

Look at a horse at 3 weeks, 3 months, and 3 years. Is it the same with mini's and ponies?

When do they come back together??? A family in the next town has two mini's that stay in the house/yard and go biking and running with them like dogs. Both are good looking animals but I have no idea how old they are.

My veteran mare which I retired a couple of years ago, is Poco Bueno on top and San Peppy on bottom.

She was not a quiet ride thanks to Peppy.

depends on the individual animal.. some minis ont he large side.. like passing 36" actually keep good conformation.. other shorter ones get a body too large for their legs. and get very wide.. dwarfs ar ethe same way.. just worse.. plus other congenital problems...

Friends of ours has some of the Peppy horses.......... I can't see having a horse that you have to lunge a half hour in order to be able to ride it. Sure they aren't all that way, but it's my impression. Beautiful horses though. The mare in the picture hadn't been ridden in 14 months and I put on a saddle clipped reins to her halter and rode like we did it every day. No sunscreen :roll:
