I want to work up a little area for some pumpkins and I have a IH 656. How big of a disk would this handle or a field cultivator?

Depending on the lay of the land and soil cond. with duals with out duals between 10 foot to 14 foot for either piece of equipment

Neighbor had one and a IHC 10' drag disc[without wheels]was about all it could handle with out duals. Lots of wheel spin when disc set max angle.

sicne we are on this subject,I need some info on what kind of disc is being discussed.
there are several types of disc's from what I understand offset, double offset and tandem are the main ones I have heard of.I bekieve double offset and tandem are the same thing.
an offset disc is harder to pull than a double offset so when the question is asked how big a disc will a tractor pull, dont we need to ask or determine which type is wanted.
allen,I see by the pictures you post, you pull a double offset.how big is it?

I had a 13'6" towner offset that was hard to pull with a 1086 with duals, but was easy to pull a 21' double offset.I have a 6'offset drag type that takes 50 hp with loaded tires and weights
