IH 666-Need Help!!

My neighbors planter tractor,left brake got smokin hot,looks like the adjuster is ball and socket,it's not pushing back on the band,is there a snap ring behind the ball and socket??

There is no band brake on there.Sounds like the brake discs are wore down enough that the brake expander is going too far and binding.Most Ive had break loose by backing up,but your gonna have to take the cover off and fix it.A brake that locks up on a planting tractor sure aint no good

if the brake pads are worn. you can ajust then up by removine shims.the shims are between the brake housing and the tractor casting.
