I just got an older case tractor loader backhoe and i can't find the serial # . I'ts not on the dash and it does't seam to have a tool box.from what i have read they started in1957 on a 320, then between 1960-67 on the 430-530. the tractor has a jonhson bar to shift F-R. It has 5 levers on the tower(2 out side ones are for out riggers-same type as on newer machines) the swing is operated by foot bars, the swing is operated by 2 cyclinders sticking out. The engine is a 4cyc gas and the only # i can find on the machine are the ones stampt onto the engine 345s00474 . I would like to be more informed on what i have in case i need parts. if any one knowes of a different place i could look for the serial # i would appreciate it. thank you northern

Some models had it on the frame right below where you enter the operaters platform. also look by the stationary end of the loader cyl , on the loader frame, also on the left side
Post a picture , it would really help.....

[ thanks dalex. I went out and with my knife scratched the old newest paint just under the step and found a warning sign on light grey paint. I also found 2 pins that look like they at one time held a small plate. On looking around under the tractor at some of the cuts on the metal that holds the backhoe on and some of the fabrication around the back, i'm thinking the hoe part might an ad on at a later date. althought the paint thats showing threw on the hoe is the old case light grey. if i get a little more time on this thing i might figure how to ad pictures quote="Dalex"](reply to post at 12:04:59 05/19/09) [/quote]
