What is this thing???

Made by deere it's about 7 ft wide the wheels are cast they aern't sharp like a disc.About 6in between wheels.Any Idea what this was used for? thanks.

Wanted to add.The ends have a part # L-270-M
The wheels part # is M-10164-M

In this part of the country that is called a packer. It is hooked on the back of a mold board plow to break up the dirt clumps. Makes it a lot smoother for the next trip like seeding. They come in different widths to match the number of plow bottoms you have.

Deere called it a roller packer. Pulled behind a moldboard plow to fill air pockets and firm the seedbed.
