hey guys got a new experience today i went to fire up my jd 301a and found the front rim split hearly in half, around the circumference ive never seen that before front tire pressure is 35 psi a rim off my old 53 fergson to 30 is the same but now i need one for it these things are on evrything but where can i buy one? its a 16" 6 hole rim and had a 6;00 16 3 bar tractor front tire on it

Very common rim size. A good number of tractors and equipment use that rim size so any dealer should have them and or a farm and home type place or for that matter a tractor salvage place. Shoot I have 5 or 6 of them laying around that I keep on hand for spares for the equipment I have

Most of your 16" 6 hole rims are all the same. Any implement wheel would bolt on but the width may be different.

I've seen that happen on other rims. It's dangerous if you would happen to be airing up the tire when it happens. Once you have one explode and hit you, you see how often things like this do happen.

People just don't know the dangers of airing up tires. Dont ever air one up that has been run flat for any lenght of time. This breaks down the wire in the side walls and causes what they call zipper cracks. It's a split in the sidewall about 8-16" long. Good way to loose your sight or looks.

thanks guys nebraska cowman how far away are you for shipping? im in glenco nm which is 50 miles west of roswell, or 10 miles east of ruidoso,nm i may have to go to roswell and look at farm and ranch store , ruidoso has nothing for a man that works for a living just a tourist trap with overpriced real estate
