old loaders work off belt

some one might like to have one of this i never saw one that works off the belt bet its a real joy to use but for show it would be nice http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/grd/1171049085.html

We had one very similar to that, in fact son still has it. Ours is a Silbaugh (sp) made in Humbolt, IA, I think. It was purchased in about 1945 and used until 1975. Now days, it is hard to imagine how unhandy it was to use one like that on a 1939 John Deere B. However, it sure beat a 4 tine manure fork and a snow shovel!!!

we used to have a A John Deere with a loader from same company. Ran off large V Belt with pulleyboltedtomiddle of crankshaft. First time I ever saw live power. Would of been about 1950. Loader control was operated by left foot. Push all way down loader rose. Partway down went down take foot off stop. Real handy for the times. Bernie Steffen

Had one similar on an F20 (I think it might even have been IH). May be part of a chinese tool now, as soon as we had live hydraulics it went to the scrappers.
