gps using laptop

I can do that with the screen on my lightbar, only disadvantage being it is a B/W 3 inch screen(Trimble EZ guide plus), but enough to look at the map and see if I made any skips.
I farm in the prairie pot hole region of ND and often have to farm around 6 or more pot holes in a 160 acre field.
The later model Trimble (250 & 500 and most other brand light bars) have much larger color screens, so I don't know if it would be worth banging a laptop around in the vibration and dust of a tractor cab. Just my opinion.

Well, it's more expensive than the Garmin or DeLorme software, so it sure doesn't save any money.

A GPS track is a GPS track. All this software does is make a wider line to show a simulated boom width.

None of the sub $2K GPS devices have enough accuracy to be usefull for tracking exact rows of spray. They can all be off a good 75 feet in any direction, at any time.
