I just had roof replaced due to some high winds last fall. Roofer called me at work asking if I knew that there is a critter crapping on my roof. Big turds, thinking raccoon,, live in Southern IN.
Anyone have any ideas and what I might want to do?

I have a deck on the back of the house, with posts/joists that serve a decorative purpose over the bench-type seats. I"ve had cats get up there, when one day I saw one looking in the bedroom window. Crapped right outside the window.
I"d look for however they"re getting up there, whatever they are.

Tie your coon dog up on the roof?

I had monster turds the other night...

..I meant on the roof. Sent the dog out, he came back with a tomcat with a head on him the size of a football. His head size is proportional to his turd size.

I had a boxer that would chase squirrels up trees. Scared me the first time he did it.

Open beer after work. Drink 2/3, leave 1/3 in can and cut off top of can. Put in big live trap overnight and you"ll get him. I like the live trap then I make sure I don"t nail the cats or dog. I give the coon a chance to run for the woods the next day with Grandpa"s .410 in hand just to give them a chance. Missed one so far, but might have got him later. Repeat as necessary. Sometimes they"re a little groggy in the AM--helps if you"re a bad shot.
