All you durn guys praying for rain last year have FINALLY got your prayers answered THIS YEAR ! , next time when you pray for rain ,, be specific as to which year ya want it ! LOL !.., Shoooew-WEAH !! , we got more rain today !... TODAY , Ohio river is baCkin up overtop feilds that my brother usually has corn 6-10 inches tall in by this time of year ,...very little planted here ,,what was planted is mudded in No -til ,,.. If weather were EXACT same as last years,, Those guys would have a terrible Hard trowled seed trench problem this year that bakes in the HOT sun and a young root will not penetrate ,,,Seems like the only CONSTANT we can count on for sure is that ,, THIS YEAR WILL NOT BE LIKE LAST YEAR, OR,THEYEAR BEFORE ,OR THEYEAR BEFORE,.ECT ... How was Your WEEK ?
 
I was just telling some one that just about 2 hours ago, my US Tobacco guy was at the house and he said every one was pray'n for it to quit rain'n. I said I was not going to cause every time I pray for weather I get it bout 2 months later! I am afraid that when it quits it's gonna quit for a long time!! The third round that can through today was not too bad, just alot of wind. Have had close to 2" from some time after I went to bed last night till now.

Sun is shine'n and about 25 mph wind now, if it'l keep this up for four days I might be able to get some work done. I got tobacco ground turned two weeks ago and it has rained about every day since. Alot of my corn ground that needs worked had about 6" of water standing on it right now.

We continue to have drought where I live. Drought currently defined as 1 to 2 days without rain. Our last drought was broken this morning than we received 1.80 inches of rainfall.

Most 2 day droughts are relieved with at least a half inch of rainfall.

Sure wish we could spread it out over months instead of weeks. Maybe our area will just turn into a rain forest. Wish we could share those that are having real drought. Planting practically non-existent.
 
I hear that on the 2 day Drought pattern /// LOL , Kinda thought it was Pretty well all over Corn belt,//BRIGHT side/ ? Grain prices are Movin Up , 3 weeks back, Corn was $3.65 or so ,hauled some today for buddy of mine and got him $4.16 .. Of course in order to get that Ya gotta have a crop PLANTED to harvest !!
 
Been hearing about all this rain not that far west from us, been real dry here, though we've finally got some make up rain, nothing torrential, just a pretty good slow soaker, 65 acres of oats are up 6" now, corn ought to be coming up, was hard plowing in some areas, same with the disc, though after that rain, looked like it was going better.
 
What I have said in the past for the farmers while talking to the Almighty, I say. Please Lord allow the farmers to make money with their crop, dont drown them out and dont burn them out with a drought.
I hope this covers it.
 
Maybe the reason is that those praying for rain haven't been in church enough for the lord to recognize them, so he just does the best he can.
There a real good poem about that, that i can't find at the moment. Some thing about a blizzard in SD.
 
Might want to be even more specific and tell the fella above when, where, and how much. Apparently there were a lot of prayers and the got answered but somehow ended up in our fields! Getting along now though!

Did you see the sky this evening? It looked like a bunch of tornadoes getting ready to come down. Really neat looking, but kinda scary too.

You know, your brother could get a nice JOHN DEERE to hook to the JOHN DEERE planter and plant with both!!! :)
We don't need years like the last two. At least the driest spot moved from our place to your area last year!!!

Hoss green toy is at deer country.. all 4 wheels off , New Brakes /Front Pump,. not a bad job to those that do it often enuf..
