replacing Kubota L4310

My nice Kubota L4310 with loader was stolen a few weeks ago and I now need a tractor for mowing with a bush hog. I have found a decent JD 2020 diesel with loader for $6,000, but don"t know if I would be better off with another Kubota. I did not have the L4310 insured and it will cost around 16,000 to 18,000 to replace it and just don"t have that kind of money right now. Does the 2020 burn a lot more fuel when mowing than the Kubota did? Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

we had a 2020 diesel years ago ,worst tractor deere ever made as far as I'm concerned, no power and the tranny was crap wouldn't shift, smoked so bad you had to shut it off to hook up anything, had the bottom exhaust! my two cents worth!!!!

Sounds like the one you had was shot and in need of repairs.

They are good tractors if not completely worn out.

bought it brand new,was never very good from the start, ended up trading it off with less than 2 thousand hours on it ,might have been a lemon!!!!

jd2wd,

I"ve had more green ones than the others combined and this latest one which I bought new, is a POS...rest assured, Mother Deere sleeps around and occasionally drops an illegitimate child.

I would wait untill I could afford the Kubota. Ten series were replaced by 30 series now we are in the 40 series. If you could do with a little less H>P> like go to a 3010 4 wheel with loader you could get out for around 10/12 grand. Has to be something out there better than the deer deal
