Ot. A great day to be alive

Up here in NW Wisconsin I woke up to what could only be described as a perfect morning, the Robins were singing in the window at 5 AM, it is about 50 degrees, had a small thunderstorm last night and the sky this morning is crystal clear. Saw a bear sow and cub walk across the hayfield, about a half dozen deer in another field and a couple turkey toms strutting around, fed the cows, got another new baby, heifer calf. In these times with all the bad news and negative talk I'm just happy to be here, just try and ruin my day, not gonna happen. Hope you all have a good one too:>) I will try to post this mornings pictures tommorrow.

Its a relief to see someone is happy. Too much bad news and gossip puts a cloud in every sky. Think I will follow you on the farm today and just be thankful for all we have.

Just doing the usual stuff, fixing a couple of flat tires, gonna disc the garden later if it doesn't rain. Got to pick up some parts for my 1937 JD B later on. Gonna be OK for me too.

Hi CJ,

You know what? I woke up this morning alive! Had breakfast, went into the backyard garden, and found that most of my early plantings are up! Their happy as they have better than 8% organic matter (9) inches deep. Robbins jumping on the lawn. Birds everywhere, and no ticks because of them.

I have been promised that I will always have food in my stomach and clothes on my back. We don"t need anything else, but may be a little shelter. It don"t get no better that that!

Rejoice in the day, for God is good. How often we forget to count our bountiful blessings.

Waking up in Dallas is ok, but waking up to the birds, wildlife, etc. at the farm is wonderful.

Last Sunday I had on a red sweat jacket. I was cutting mats out of the hair of our long-haired barn cat and a hummingbird flew up to me to check out that red jacket. He wasn't anymore than a foot from me. How neat is that?

A couple of weeks ago, we were working over by the pond. I was walking around and found a hummer's nest. A little later I found a large egg, almost the size of a small chicken egg. I think was a hawk egg because of the size.

The awesome wonders of the world we live in!

I was just watching my 8 month old boxer pup run around the yard. She runs for pure joy!! Beautiful to watch.

I try to keep in mind that today is the first day of the rest of my life.

And if tomorrow never comes, I’ll have no regrets about today.
