What is the best post driver

I am in the market for a skid steer mounted post driver for around the farm. I have an old worn out Shaver HD-8, but am looking to go bigger so I dont have to drill holes for the posts. I have looked at the Shaver HD-10 and HD-12, but is the extra $2,400 worth it for the bigger HD-12 driver?? What about other brands, what is good and what is not?? What are you guys using and do you like it??

King Hitter, made in New Zealand and will flat out drive some posts. Where are you in VA? There is a guy in Highland County that supposedly builds some tough ones too.

If your going to do much fence I would go with a Kiwi or Log cabin fence has the Pro driver. These are pricey but way better than a shaver.King Hitter's are made well and do good if you like that kind of driver. I think Kiwi was bought out by Kencove fence and the pro driver is www.logcabinfence.com I have a skid steer mount kiwi I'll give you if you put a cummins in my 1855.

I'd second the King Hitter as it was a great step up for me from a Shaver. A contractor friend had bought a new one and we bought his old one, If I was 10years younger I would order a new one with all the bell and whistles. Mine has the spike kit whitch is great in the rocks.

Yeah I have heard about the guy in Highland and am doing some research on that too. I am in Augusta Co near Highland. Thanks for the thoughts...

Thanks, I will check those drivers out. I would probably take you up on the Cummins conversion, I know lots more about repowers than I do about post drivers, but I am learning.....

Thanks for the help.
