How many rows can i plant in one pass with and oliver 1650? I was thinkin 6 is the biggest i would be able to go

Are they about 60hp?

6 row would sound about right.

Used my 4 row on the new to me Ford 5000 this year, & that worked well, some room to spare.

My neighbor pulled an 8 row with his for years. He got stuck real easy though, in any soft spot, even with duels.

I pull a 6 row John Deere 7000 conventional planter with no problem. If the field has a
lot of wet spots, I do not fill the fertilizer
hoppers all the way full.

The big question has to be what type of planter. the different planters pull so much different that a 4 row heavy no till will take twice the power of the older planters like a 894 8 row Deere so type of planter you have to include in question to get a decent answer. The 894 would probably be able to hook 2 of them side by side and handle them OK as a 16 row unit but then a 4 row no till with full fertilizer boxes plus other full boxes and hills you may not be able to pull it.

I pulled a ih 56 4 row with the large fert boxes with a super h for years. 3rd gear about 3.5 mph allways had good populations and it ran cheap. ED
