1020 turn over motor

hi,is there a way to rotate the motor with out the starter or dragging the tractor? its been sitting for 7 years and # 2 cyclinder has clear water in it,the others didn"t.it wasn"t antifreeze, the oil is clean no water or antifreeze, not sure if its stuck.

If it has a hi-low or rabbit and turtle shifter don't pull it !

Can you get a bar in on the ring gear with the starter off ?

If the 10-20 has a hand crank you should be able to move the engine with it. I would suspect the engine is stuck if water was found in 2 cylinders.
I would pour ATF on top of the pistons after blowing out the water and let it soak. You may have to tear the engine down. I wouldn't pull it since you could damage something in the drive train. Hal

Pull the starter out and turn it by the flywheel teeth with a big screwdriver. That will give you the best leverage and do the least damage.

Are you talking a 1020 John Deere from the 60's or a 10-20 McCormick Deering from the 30's ?
