Have gophers again,digging up the yard,Read in earlier post, you can mix ,Ithink colorine bleach with another household cleaner and make a deadly poision gas that would get rid of them,but I failed to write it down.Anyone know or remember,sure could use it now.thanks
 
Stick the car (or a tractor) exhaust down the hole with a hose. They either come out or die burried. Cleaning chemistry is too deadley for recommedation. JimN
 
got shotgun? We had one that was wrecking the bulkhead on my property and was digging holes regularly. My grandfather told me to break up some glass bottles into large pieces and fill the hole back in. When the gopher tried to dig his way out he would cut his paws and limp over to the next lot. They never did dig anymore holes, but i think that grandpa got most of them with the 20 gauge. He nailed one up on the fence post as a warning to the others. Pretty funny.
 
Back on Grandpas farm in North dakota ,Dad and my uncles would set 1/4 stick of dynomite by a hole,,sit and wait,,then when gopher appeared,,,shot it off wit a .22... Little over kill, but fun , ahhh the good old days

That was my solution. Mix chlorine bleach and liquid ammonia cleaner.
Had ground squirrels burrowing in my airstrip and this put a sudden stop to their activity.
I have also used this on groundhogs and worked well.
Mix it and pour it right in rhe holes. Be sure you have good ventilation. Do NOT mix this indoors...
I have also found that mice don't like the odor from the plain ammonia when poured around their runs. They get very disoriented and are easy to catch... Gene
 
Be very careful mixing bleach and ammonia. The fumes can get you, too. BTDT.

I like the juicy fruit gum idea much better. Put a stick or two down their hole. It does them in. Easy, cheap, quick. When the rain finally quits, I plan on trying it.

I'll post the results.
