hydralic problem

Can anyone help. I just bought A TEA2085 1952 FERGUSON The 3 point hitch was working great. But the kotter pin broke the runs the control valve in the pump so we took it all apart and got it fixed the pump looked really good. but now the 3 point hitch has no power. With no strain on it it will lift really good and fast but i can hold it back with one hand. also wonder if these tractors have a hydralic filter back there somewhere in the housing i had everything apart and didn't see one. Thanks for the help.

You probably got an internal leak. When you remove the upper housing there is an "0" ring on the tube comming out of the pump into the housing. That is a good place for a leak especially if you didn't replace it. Go over to the Harry Furguson section and do a search on Hydraulic lift. There is some good info over there.

Thanks pat for your reply. When we took the upper housing off i didn't see no O ring so we put it back together with the liquid gasket maker and we did see a little leak on the outside but you wouldn't think it would be enough to cause all this problem would you. Another guy said it might be the piston in the top housing leaking does that sound like a problem and do you no if there is a filter inside the housing neware to be found.
Thanks raymond
