Stale Fuel

I know that Stabil can be used in fuel when it is fresh to keep it freash a little longer. I had read or heard some where that there is something that you can put in stale gas that is supposed to improve its quality. I thought it start with POR, but I"m not sure. Does anyone have any suggestions, I need to refressh some older fueld (gasoline).

If it works with sour gas, I wonder if it will fix sour milk?

I would just mix the old gas with fresh gas and burn it in something that's not too picky. I burn all my old gas in my Ford tractor.
 

Stale gasoline is best used as a weed killer. Do not try to use it an engine unless you want to deal with some issues later down the road.
 
The last couple of years I have ben pouring a little 2 cycle oil in the gas. It seems to keep it fresh and keeps the carb. clean over winter. Last week I put a battery in the 730 D with a pony motor and it started right up after sitting since early last fall. That tank only holds a quart so it would have gone bad real quick. Makes the gas a pretty blue green color too. All my tractors are running on E-10 and I have even run E-30 in my 620 with a loader with no problems.
 
Good luck with ethanol in old carbs and hoses something I will not chance. Additionally always use Sea Foam to "stabilize". With no ethanol and Sea Foam, haven't had any problems with Pony motor gas approaching two years old. Port fuel injected plastic Chevy has non-ethanol gas with Sea Foam that is 3 1/2 years old and still in good condition.
 
Once it's stale, it's stale.
Occasional and seasonal usage gasoline equipment here gets aviation gasoline poured into the tank if the equipment is going to sit.
Av gas is made without gum, wax and components that sour.
 
Agree Av gas is the best answer, but legally can't haul much without alot of hassle. However would be a good solution for a pony engine. Five gallons would last a long time.
