Here are a few pictures of the plow day Saturday. It was 87 degrees on Friday, but Saturday was 47 degrees with a cold North wind. We still had a good time. Had about 30 tractors. Ground was in good shape and plowed good.

Hey Nancy. This ground had been disked only for the last few years. It was time to turn it over. Normally we would chisel, but this was a chance to get the old machines out and give them a workout. We had a plow day last year on some wheat ground and this years wheat is the best looking we have.

Looks great. What do you do with the dead furrow
in the middle? When I get to the middle I usually
make a mess.

Best thing to do is to leave a couple of swaths and disc or chisel it out. Used to be able to leave almost no dead furrow with a semi mounted plow. On a pull type, I think you raise your lever to the down position (raise the side of the plow up) and go over one way and back the other. Takes time to make it nice, and then it's only fair at best.
