The dash lights on my 99 Lumina quit working. I looked in the owners manual. The fuse that is listed for it also runs things that are working. Any idea what the next thing to check would be? are there multiple bulbs or some other system?
Thanks in advance

On a lot of GM vehicles I think the dash lights ground to the steering column. Could be a bad ground. Do you have tail lights?

Also the headlight dimmer switch often gets touchy. If you tear the dash apart I'd check for +12v on that switch when turned fully one way or the other. Headlights are not switched by the key.

Check the park lamps fuse. Also fiddle with the instrument cluster dimmer and see if it comes back to life.

same on the 98 sebring, & in the last month the 2002 dodge caravan... the sebring's come on after driveing 6 to 10 mile,, easy to speed after dark' the van manual does not even mention dash lights

I had to have the switch in the column replaced last fall in my 95 acheiva due to the same problem. I lost the dash lights, and then the tail lights. Didn't know about the tail lights til I was pulled over, so I got them fixed pronto.
