Productive day!

Up early, Spread ALL remaining chicken poop, 5.4 tons per acre, picked my 11,000 eggs, spread as much cow poop as I can load with out a manure bucket at about 15 tons an acre, disked all manure in within 3 hours of spreading, fed the cows. Enjoyed a double cheesburger and fries from Val's in St Could compliments of the wife. Now all i need is some rain to soften the remaining ground and I will be ready to plant. All the cow manure I have left will be piled and applied in the fall. Doing test plots on manures vs commercial so have to use some. Any one else have a productive day?

I could use what you have left over - Was working on a contract with the local septic hauler to enrich one of my fields. Health department nixed that, said we were too close to ground water. Buncha hooey.

I remember when you couldn't spread human waste on fields. The "stuff" we leave behind, is many times worse that any animal waste could ever be. It really suprises me that E.P.A is allowing it now, no matter what state you live in.

well I'm still building fence, posted last week that I didn't really mind it to much now it just plain stinks, the snow drifts really loosend the wire up over the winter so I'll have to re tighten almost a mile of 5 strand barbed wire, plus I'm expanding my pasture oh well could be worse, but I am making progress. How long does it take you to pick up 11,000 eggs? you must have a real big basket! ha ha

Nope. Just one of those days when nothing seemed to go right. Oh well, hold my head up and just start digging myself out from all these problems. Tomorrows another day. Maybe everything will go right.

Covered a lot of ground today. Hauled five old cows to a collection point 45 miles from home, They have a pen waiting for them at Gibbon Pack tonight. Before I got there a neighbor that lives 8 miles from me call and ask if I could pick up a pallet of mineral for him at a mill three miles on down the road since I was in the area. Tonight truck and trailer are in driveway with a pallet of mineral still in the back to be delivered tomorrow.

Just me yesterday. Up early. no lunchbreak, no TV. one short break for YT and a beer, and just tried to keep a quick pace.

Didn't do much, just split some wood for summer campfires. I have an old MF mower I bought new in 1969, 20 years ago I replaced the engine with a 10hp Tecumseh. Two years it started to get a sporadic miss. Tried to tune it out, no luck. Did a valve job, no luck. Let it sit. Drained all the gas, put in fresh & new plug. Started on the third pull and runs great. Now I don't know what to think. Took the wife shopping in the afternoon, too darn wet to do anything else. So much for my day.

Very slow at work right now, which is why I can cruise around on YT. Once I got home, walked the pasture putting out fire ant killer. Then got the drill and the hole mandrel and cut a hole in the new walk through door for the garage, then installed the knob.

This evening, its bathe and groom horses when I get home. If I have any time left, need to do some laundry (yuck). I'd rather clean a stall.

INSTALLED two new bat reels, sickle sections, and hold downs on MoCo. Disced up the two north food plots, one pass at maximum cut, one at number two. About 6 acres. 4 more, total 14 more acres, to go.
Soil samples from 4 locations collected and mailed.
Windshield and handwarmers came off Honda. Studded snows came off the Tracker.
And a new list for tomorrow.
