Well I made it thru the night(sitting in my chair in the den, with my legs up on the foot rest).Back to the doctor today, maybe this sciatica is on it,s way out, atleast for a while. Thanks to all that have have offered their advice and concern.

My wife and I were both having back problems until we bought a sleep number bed. Expensive, but we sleep real good.

i just went through double disc removal with bone graphs on 4-7,..i'm here to tell you that's not funny...hope ya get to feelin better

I had a radical prostectomy 1 yr ago next month. Test are continuing to indicate that they got all of the cancer, which I am very gratefull for, but I think the surgery resulted in 2 hernias. I had those fixed 3 weeks ago, while I was in recovery my knee started hurting on the same side as the ingunal hernia. Now the knee keeps me awake at night. I think they got rough with it on the table. Getting old is not for sissies.

glad some one mentioned the sleep number bed, I have tried everything, inversion table and all, and yes, the sleep number gets me all night sleep, in fact we put one in our fifth wheel camper too.

Glad to hear you are improving. I use to get sciatica fairly often. Chiropractors were a joke. Doctors only gave me medicine that made me float in the clouds all day. I started exercising. Walk 2 miles each day up my mountain and back down. Get back and start a one hour session of stretches (including yoga).I Just experminted with the movements until I found the ones that helped the most. Some made it worse. Don't just do those generic excercises on the handouts that Doctors and Chiropractors give out. Those do not fit everyone and can hurt you. Now I am 100% better. 2 hours of body maintainence per day may seem like a lot but it is sure worth it. I work hard and feel great.
