I called the local scrap yard today just to see how much a new hitch for our 495A would cost as I bent the heck out of it on Saturday, and to my surprise they're only asking $25 per side.
Dad'll run out there tomorrow and pick them up. For $50, I can't even begin to start looking at straightening out the other ones, that were bent once before just not as bad and easily straightened.
For those of you who missed it- I borrowed my brother's 550 to pull the planter out before we backed the drill in again. He doesn't have the drawbar back from paint yet, so we used our 2 pt. drawbar on the arms and I turned too short while backing it up in the driveway, so I could hook onto the drill and back that in with the 550. Our other tractors are all too tall for the shed, except the 1600 (without the muffler) but I don't have a seat on it as of right now. The 165 fits as well, but we'd have to remove the box blade and a light we have bolted to the fender. The 550 had a cultivator on the 3 pt. but it's easier to take off than the blade.
Shoulda used the 165....
