You will get a bunch of replies that there are only so many BTUs per gallon of gas and that the internal combustion engine is only about 15% efficient and that 100mpg is impossible unless you buy a little scooter.
But, hey. Feel free to experiment. They probably laughed at Noah also.

Fish carburetor? Variable venturi was the "secret" to it's reported remarkable performance. Later Ford used a variable venturi on it's vehicles which proved to be very troublesome. Fuel injection is a much better plan.
