I have an old 9N or 2n 9N ,(I"m not sure)that has a 1942 Deerborne loader on it.The hydraulic pump located at the front bottom of the tractor, started spraying fluid out the front. There are 4 bolts on the front.Could some one tell me what I"m getting into before I try taking apart and what it might be?

The pump could have been made by 20 or more manufacturers, so I will give the following Instructions.
Take pictures
Do not force anything
Find the model # and use it to get seals and parts
Do not over tighten bolts
Look for wear grooves in the shafts
Look for wear in the gear housing and bushings
Do not use blue RTV as a gasket
Use thin coatings of Coppercoat.

Very good chance you have a crack in the pump. Relief valve probably stuck and that will in turn blow a pump. Learned that the hard way years ago on a loader we have on an 841 Ford and the pump broke because of a bad relief valve
