Thieman Tractor Museum

I've heard there was a museum of Thieman Tractors. Does anyone know where it is and when it is open? Thanks for any help.

The only Thieman collection(sometimes pronounced 'Theeman' and sometimes pronounced 'Teeman', even among the Thieman family), is a permanent display in a building at the Albert City Threshing Show at Albert City, Iowa. There are a couple of tractors there permanently, but usually about a half dozen other Thieman tractors show up for the show.( aug 7,8,9 are the dates for the 2009 show). Thieman made other stuff including hog feeders, hog waters, post hole diggers, a pull type silage chopper with a model A Ford engine, silo blower/chopper, park benches and probably some other things I Can't think of. The factory was at Albert City Iowa.

Sadly, the last son, that I know of, of the Thieman brothers, passed away last year, but the Thieman history is recorded.

If you want to see the collection before the threshing show go to www.albertcitythreshermen.com. On the website are listed some contacts. I would try Gary Sundblad first. Hope this helps. Jim

OK I am gonna add to fixeruppers post with one very slight correction. The Forage harvester used a Model T engine not a A.

From a couple of Thieman catalogs in my library and memory, here are most of the products they made.

Various livestock waterers including ones that were heated by manure.
Wood or cob fired tank heater
Chicken nests
Buzz saws
Wagon and truck endgates
Self Cleaning rakes and other garden tools
Engine attachment for the Mck Deering corn picker
Various other attachments for that picker (PTO, swinging spout, Wagon hitch)
Line Drives for various tractors (let you drive it with reins from towed implement)
Remote drive attachment (did the same as above but used a steering wheel)
Portable power unit for Model T engine (Made the T into a portable engine)
They made a couple of different governers (one for the tractor and one for the T engine)
Trailer (turned your car frame into a wagon gear)
Plow guides
Wheel scrapers
Kitchen corn cob bin
Park benches like fixer upper said (I think that was for the town of Albert City)
And of course the Tractor
OH yeah Can't forget Steel Burial vaults

Like Fixerupper said if you are intersted in this company come to that show. It will be worth the trip.

If you can't make it to the show drop me a line, I might be able to help you out.
