I found an old John Deere 216T baler with the P.T.O. on it .I want to buy it and put the p.t.o. on the 346 John Deere baler does anyone know if it will fit?The 346 has the wisconsin on it and it needs engine work.Any information would be great. Thanks

Blaine, i will look in my books but if memory serves me right it will not work as you need a cat 4 driveshaft and clutch assy. I probably have a complete set-up to do your conversion if it won't work.Think you will need 338,346,347 or 348 to do it properly without something going wrong or not fitting properly. Have done quite a few of these so memory should be OK. Doing one right know if that is any consolation. E-mail open

Thats a bummer I could get the whole baler for a really low price. You say you might have the parts I need I would be interested .If the price was right .I'm just getting tired of working on the engine. The last thing that happen to it was the governor gear broke off wiped out the newly rebuilt mag and another gear inside. That 216T has a slip clutch on it did they make different kinds or are the spline count not the same. Thanks for the reply any more information would be great.

Hey don't know what e-mail open means, but I'd like it if you can get back to me .I guess it means I can e-mail you ,but I can't figure out how. Thanks
