Wife is out of town visiting her sister this weekend. Told her I was going to local farm consignment aution Saturday, but not to worry as I planned on just watching and visiting. Well I'm going to get the second trailer load today, and the 3rd(the last one) hopefully today. Any advice on how to explain it to her or should I just get my pillow and head for the dog house? Hopefully one of you more experinced gent will have a good anwser.

No.1: Oh, just tell her that a man needed a place to park the stuff he bought, whilst taking the other things to his place, 2 states away, with plans to come back later and get the rest of it!
Then, after several months, and with no way to contact him, say he must of forgot how to find your place!
No.2: if you have a friend in a state several states away, have him write to you, to tell you the guy who stored the stuff was either killed in some kind of accident, or has been installed in the jail, for being caught at smuggling dope into the country!
Sheesh, man, ya have to be creative at this business of building up your hoard!
From the creative mind of Rusty Jones!

Tell her that is she would stay home where she belonged, it would not have happened.
Or better yet, call her up and tell her what you did. Maybe she will just stay there.

I would think that she already knows, unless this is the first auction that you have ever been to,she should already know that auctions aren't a spectator sport.

Tell her it's your life and you're the man of the house and that's the way it is!

Then relocate to the barn.

Clean up good, shave, beard trim, haircut, shampoo. Buy a dozen red roses. Put on nice new lounge wear. Present her a card about how you missed her. Take a double dose of Viagra. She will never ask about the equipment. Tom

Tell her that you're the boss and you'll do what you dam well please....... The grab your pillow and the garbage on the way out. May want to bath the dog in the meantime.

Dave

When I bought a pair of tires for my D17, one of my co workers said it's always easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. Then again, the tires are behind some stuff in the barn where she never goes...

You are building up your estate!!! At your estate sale she gets it all, or she can have half now if she goes that route!!

Try cash or diamonds first. Then go get you pillow and head out to the dog house. Most of the time I just went straight to the dog house saved time and no argument. That you are going to lose anyway.

O just tell her you were tired and you just keep Itching your head, and didnt realize that you were Bidding !!!!!!!!!

Here is what I would.
Show the wife all the stuff you bought for HER.

Then she wont be so pi$$ed off at you.

Just tell her your girlfriend took your number and was bidding behind your back while you were kissing her. Sometimes ya gotta tell the truth.

Tell her straight out: I'ts really no different then any normal good loving wife would do when they get depressed from being alone; they just go out and shop till they drop, then cry some and take a day or two to get over their mistakes and go on to the next day's challeges. And, "if" she considers herself normal and loving she will completely understand; and the doghouse will have to wait for another mistake that cannot be explained , so there you go ! ?????

Problem solved! Wife just called to tell me that there maybe a delivery for her before she gets home Wednesday. She bought a piece of furniture at an antque store. Cost of furniture and delivery, way more then I spent Saturday.

If James went to a farm auction without me, it wouldn't be what he bought that got him in trouble, it would be going without me that would get him in trouble.
