anyone now how to get to the brakes and change;em on a 933 cat. this is the 58 through about 64 model crawler with hand clutch. any help would be greatly appreciated.

You get two choices...removal as an assembly after removing the final drive or the brake bands come apart in sections and can be removed through the lower cover. A real fun job.

I sent you an email with the procedure I think you need, but I don't think the pictures came throug. If it doesn't, email me and I will try again.

thanks for the info, looks like alot of stuff to remove to get to those brakes, I will try to take a look at it to see if I want to tackle that job.

I dont think that info is for this machine, this 933 cat is all mechanical, with mechanical clutches, not hydarulic, this machine is a crawler type highlift on tracks, built sometime between 58 and 64 I believe. Their looks to be an inspection cover for the brakes way back under the floor boards, im gonna try taking those off to see if the brake bands come out that way....
