I have a farmall m and I had the head redone now by going thru my service manuals I got an assortment of torque numbers for the head bolts. They range from 62 1/2 lbs to 150 lbs. What would be the most common torque to use?

Better read that manual more closely, and see what bolts get what torque, you have rocker arms/manifolds/water inlet AND head bolts all of which have a different torque and the head bolts should be torqued in a specific order.

I've always been told 110. then to re-torque after a few hours of running. I just did a head gasket in my 400 which has the same engine and after running a few hours and re-torqueing they did trun some more.

My Thorsen torque wrench book calls for:
Head bolts --- 110
Rods ---- 53
main bearing --- 100
Walt

PS had this 0ld book in my machinist tool box for year and just found it last week has lots of engine torque spec.
