Anyone know anything about them or had any experience with them? What can you tell me about the good and the bad?

Thanks.

Husqvarna is the old American Lawn Products Co "Roper" they make most of Sears lawn tractors and a few other brand names . I like them better than some of the other brands. They are a lower priced brand but they will last a long time if you take care of them I buy used and get at least 10 to 15 years out of lawn tractors that are 5 to 7 years old when I get them. But I only buy Lawn & garden tractors the ones with 12" rear wheels
they have heaver gear boxes .

Owned one for four years with no problems. Purchased from lowes and think it is a better mower than most large quanty cheap selling mowers, better even than the jd's mowers. Have my likes and dislikes but overall no problems.

I would agree for the most part with one exception. To me a "graden" tractor has to have at least 4 bolt rear wheels (not just 12" rims) - if all they have is a single center bolt - its a lawn mower with all the flimsy construction that entails.

Although I will admit - I've gotten years of service from the them too - the last MTD I owned was about 15 years old and ran good enough to sell for what I paid for it a decade earlier when I bought it used. You just have to remember that its only meant to pull itself around the yard and the hitch on the back is purely for show.

We were quite happy with my Mom's Husqvarna riding mower (not garden tractor). But now we are told the rear end is out and parts are not available. Haven't decided what to do next.

Ive got a Husky GT2554 garden tractor. has the cast iron axle, full frame and large wheels with 5 bolt rears. my whell weights off my Cub Cadet 100 actually bolted right on it too...........who'da thought

Mine is less than 2 years old and its got around 160 hours on it already. When i mow, its about 7 hours to finish. I mow not only my yard, but i edge all the fields, and mow the ditches out to the road. I wouldnt say ive been 'hard' on it, but im not gentle on it either. In the winter it gets 2 F-20 flywheels bolted on the back, tires chains, and pushes snow. actually does a very good job too. I bought mine at Lowes on sale for 2000 dollars. I do regular maintenance on it, and grease it EVERYTIME i go out to mow. Havnet had a single problem with it yet, and would buy another one when this one wears out
