That Deere went down fast, maybe he trusted those triple tires too much, he should have stopped sooner after starting to spin. That will be a bear to get it out of there.

The Deere reminds me of what I used to preach to my tractor drivers: "What's the first rule of holes?" When you're in one, QUIT DIGGING!

My brother buried a 1486 almost as bad as that once. We had an old farm that we straighted a creek out - springs kept feeding certain spots (for a couple years) and you'd find yourself in the middle of one about the time the front wheels dissappeared.

What was bad was after the D7 pulled him out he was stuck again about 20 minutes later.

He musta hit the brakes awful hard for that deer to get thrown out the windshield. Rear end first, even. Need to get some deer seat belt laws...

And that tractor? Heck, he's just moving the south 40 over to the north forty. See? He figured that he put the beans in the wrong field and instead of digging up all those beans one by one, he is moving the entire field. They were northern beans, after all...

Just my take on it!

Aaron

he'd make a good rice farmer, but luckaly my guys were tought to stop before they got like this!
thsnks for the pics!!

I wonder if the deer came off of the overpass behind the truck. Anyway that would really mess up your weekend! (along with other things)

I'm just wondering if there isn't quicksand under the black soil where that tractor went down. We've got just a little of that about a mile west of me. Black on top and brown quicksand underneath. You can see the brown coming up on the wheels. The Deere kept sinking after the driver decided to give up.

Did that Durango roll once after the deer went through the windshield? Something more than a deer did that damage to the roof.

I know I'd have trouble keeping control if a surprise like that happened to me. Jim

Last fall there was a deer that came thru the windshield of a vehicle and killed the driver, who had his family with him. Very unfortunate. I think it was SW Kansas. You never know when it is your time to go.

I aways carry a long chain, when you are almost stuck, unhook, drive the tractor out and then pull implement out backwards.

Need some big come alongs and good anchor point(another unstuck tractor)separate implements, too. Dave BTDT
