V4 wisconsin no spark

I have a VG4G V4 wisconsin and I cant get any spark. I dont know much anything about these. Anyone know what I should check?

you might check the points. see if they are gapped properly or need cleaned.

There's a wire that goes to a connection on the head, overheating protection. Pull it off, might be faulty and cutting off the spark.

Rub some 320 wet or dry through the points until shiny. Then see if have fire to the plugs. Hal

I once had a JD baler with a VH4D on it and it sometimes wouldn't start, no spark. Seems I tapped on the mag once and it started and ran. Finally found out it was a faulty coil in the mag.
