I posted this on the I.H. board, so if you see it twice, just ignore, but I thought I may get some good advice both places.

I found an 886 International that I may be interested in buying. Anything that I should look for in particular on these tractors? Thanks for any advice.

Helped my B.I.L. put a turbo on one of these, made a whole new animal out of it. Figured it gained about 15-17 hp. Did the same chores as in the past, just did it easier and with less fuel. Had about 11,000 hours on it before it needed a T/A and clutch. He decided to freshen up the engine while it was apart. Very good tractor, easily earned it's keep.

The 886 is the newer version of the 766 and ya just can't go wrong with those tractors.

Only thing I can think of is that they are "just the right size" for a loader.

I'd check that front end over real good.
