Allis Chalmers Axles

Allis CA has Lambert clutch on RT axle. Pulling heavy load tractor suddenly stops...however if I press RT brake pedal very hard...... LEFT wheel will regain traction. Sounds like Lambert clutch worn, heh. Can I replace that two-piece axle with solid one from Allis "C"? Thanks

I had one and previous owner ran bolts through clutch and held the two halves together.

YES c axle will work or as said bolt to gather.

Just so everyone knows..."C" axle WILL NOT work. The bearing spacing on a "C" is about 10 1/2 inches. On the "CA" the same spacing is about 8 1/2 inches. Also the driven gear portion on a "C" is smaller. Just so ya all know.
