I was thinking I should get the new plywood down so we can set up the card table here;

Don't need anybody falling off the wagon, I mean... floor.
This is my living room as of quitting time this evening.
The original house was only 18' X 22'. It had an addition on it which I tore off and built a new addition in it's place 2 years ago. I just live in the new end.
But work is slow and a guy needs a reason to get up in the morning so...
The original house will soon be one big living room - it's the center roof of the 3. The porch was new last fall.
Anyway, This is tractor related because there is a Ford 3000 in the picture.

And, I'm going to help a buddy put different rear axles on his 2000 this weekend.
It'll be nice to get away from the wood.
Lot of different kinds of folks here.
This is my project.
Let's see what other people are working on these days.

I think you may want to put 1" boards down again then plywood looks to be 20"-24"oc With to many big boys around that card table, they will be bouncing.

I wonder why they ran the floor boars diagonally? I have a chimney up through the middl of my house like that that needs to come down. Not looking forward to that job.

Running the boards diagonally helps to prevent "sagging" and when one part of the house settles and another doesn't, it helps to reduce a "step" at a joint. It takes longer to lay the boards diagonally then it does to "throw down and go" ply wood.

How old is that DeWalt saw? I've got a Delta radial arm saw, looks very similar to that one. I emailed the serial number to Delta, got the response that it was built May 5, 1962. I bought it at a yardsale for $10. Only problem is it takes a 9" blade; kinda rare, but I learned of a place about an hour away(Johnson's in Chelsea, MI) that carries them.

As far as my project, I'm still working on a 2-story 16 x 24 addition for my mom. Slow going, as I'm the only one who will show up. Kinda chaps my behind, as my oldest brother lives closer to her than I do but he won't show up for anything, most times.

End of rant, y'all have a great weekend!

I like the grate in the floor, it says there is
a pipeless furnace under it . They sure are nice
to stand over when you come in from the cold.
That is what we have in this house ,house is
something over 200 years old ,coal furnace has
been there since 1950.
