Got the new Fastline magazine today. There was an ad in there for a New Holland Boomer 8N. This little bugger is a 4 wheel drive Boomer, painted red and gray, has a grille that looks as much like the original on a Ford 8N as you can get. You've gotta see these little beauties! The tractor version of all of those new retro looking cars!

I also heard its 50 grand. Who's gonna pay that much for a 50 HP tractor that you can get for 20k less almost anywhere?

Got a flier from swartsrock in Charles City the other day I believe the price advertised was around $29000 and with a loader just under $33000

The dealer that has them advertised in the Fastline says you can order them with all kinds of extra chrome and other fancy extras. He's offering 48 of them with sequential serial numbers.

Those should sell really well. It's cute, but still isn't replacing a TN75 or TN85 that is on my wish list. I'll take mine 4wd, with a rugged loader, and a cab with heat and air, please. Feel free to deliver it anytime!

I seen that in the paper about a week and a half ago. Neat little thing to say the least. Don"t imagine anybody but yuppies will buy it. Oddly enough I couldn"t find it on NH"s website. Pic above.

They should name it the 9N, because all the originals were numbered for the year of their release. I don't know where I found it, but I do remember seeing that the price of the new one is going to be comparable to the other boomer tractors.

Neat idea though. It looks like they fixed all the problems the original had.
new 8n info

At 50HP that is a lot of horseys for a compact utility tractor.

Is that a diesel, (I am sure it is) I looked at a website last night that showed it.

What is the list price?
The roll bar is 97" high, wont fit in my garage.

IMHO, they should have made the (plastic) sheet metal EXACTLY like the original- not rounded off into a "toon" version. But what is it, really, other than a NH with different sheet plastic? Although it looks like the pricing might be a little more realistic than originally thought.
